The AF-Float™ flotation unit operates on the dissolved air flotation (=DAF) principle. Dispersion water containing dissolved air is mixed with influent in the dispersion chamber.

Efficient, pressurized dispersion water system
Optimum sized micro-bubbles attach themselves to the suspended solid particles and float to the water surface. Chemicals can be added to promote flocculation and to improve flotation.
The floating sludge layer is gently scraped to the float box and discharged from the process. The treated water flows under the baffle and over the weir to the peripheral launder. Part of the treated water is re-circulated to the flotation process as dispersion water.
