Pretreatment of water used in the automotive manufacturing process

Water is used in several shops along the automotive manufacturing process, namely for general process such as baths, rinses and cooling but also for stamping and iron work where water is used to cool metal presses and welder grips.

However, painting is by far the manufacturing step which requires the most water as the body shell undergoes numerous chemical treatments.
