Recycling of rinse water is indispensable over the entire manufacturing line in order to comply with environmental regulations. This is especially valid for effluents from rinses following the phosphatation, passivation or cataphoresis stages.
Recycling of rinse water following phosphatation may be done by ultrafiltration and osmosis, either in a closed or open system:
- In a closed system, the water used in all rinse operations is treated to be reused as rinse water
- In an open system, non-recycled water is used for the final rinse
The elements salvaged in the rinse water will be reused in the generation of the baths.
