Natrix™
Natrix™
The Natrix™ biological process is based on the AnoxKaldnes™ MBBR technology, which means that bacteria and other microbes are growing on protected surfaces in specially designed plastic carriers.
This successful, sturdy, compact and easy-to-operate process has since its first installation at Wargön Bruk in 1994 been installed at many pulp&paper industries all over the world:
- Pulp and paper mills
- Chemical industries
- Pharmaceutical industries
- Food industries
The carriers used in these type of applications are designed to promote microbial growth and to handle large amount of suspended solids such as fibers in the wastewater.
Many Natrix™ wastewater treatment plants are operated with only a single stage. For some wastewaters, optimal solutions may require more than one MBBR unit. When strict discharge limits are employed, a two-stage process is usually preferred since it enhances the overall efficiency.
